Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

These Terms of Service apply to your use of FleetSignal. By creating an account, using the website, adding a vehicle, enabling alerts, or purchasing a Premium subscription, you agree to these Terms.

1. About FleetSignal

FleetSignal is a vehicle compliance reminder and monitoring tool designed to help users keep track of vehicle-related dates such as MOT, vehicle tax renewal and insurance expiry dates.

FleetSignal is not an official government service, insurer, MOT testing station, legal adviser, transport authority, or compliance authority. FleetSignal does not replace your own responsibility to keep your vehicle legal, insured, taxed, roadworthy and safe to use.

2. Your responsibility

You remain fully responsible for checking and maintaining the legal and operational status of any vehicle you add to FleetSignal. This includes, but is not limited to:

You must not rely solely on FleetSignal, emails, dashboard messages or alerts when deciding whether a vehicle is legal to use.

3. Data, reminders and accuracy

FleetSignal may use vehicle information entered by you and, where available, third-party or public vehicle data sources. Such data may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, inaccurate, changed, withdrawn, or temporarily inaccessible.

FleetSignal does not guarantee that vehicle information, MOT information, tax information, dates, countdowns, dashboard statuses, or alert messages will always be accurate, complete, current, or delivered at the expected time.

Where you enter optional dates, such as tax renewal dates or insurance expiry dates, you are responsible for ensuring those dates are accurate and kept up to date.

4. Alerts and email reminders

Alerts and email reminders are provided as a convenience only. They are not a guarantee that you will be notified before a vehicle-related deadline.

Email delivery can be affected by spam filters, incorrect email addresses, technical issues, email provider delays, service interruptions, or other factors outside our control.

You remain responsible for checking important dates yourself, even if an alert is delayed, not delivered, blocked, missed, incorrect, or unavailable.

5. Free and Premium plans

FleetSignal may offer Free and Premium plans. Free plans may include limits, such as a limit on the number of saved vehicles and restricted access to reminder features.

Premium features may include additional vehicle monitoring, reminder functionality, and other paid features. Premium access does not guarantee that reminders will always be delivered, that third-party data will always be available, or that vehicle information will always be accurate.

We may change, add, remove, suspend, or limit Free or Premium features where needed for operational, technical, legal, commercial, security, or service improvement reasons.

6. Payments and subscriptions

FleetSignal Premium is offered as a recurring subscription. At the time of writing, the available plans are £2.99 per month or £24.99 per year. The selected plan, price and billing frequency will be shown clearly at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Paid subscriptions are processed through our payment provider. By purchasing a Premium plan, you agree to the price and billing terms shown at the time of purchase.

You are responsible for ensuring that your payment details are valid and that you understand the recurring billing frequency before completing checkout.

Fair use and vehicle limits

FleetSignal Premium may be described as including unlimited vehicles. This is intended for normal personal, sole trader and small business use.

We reserve the right to apply reasonable fair-use limits where an account shows unusually high usage, automated activity, excessive vehicle checks, excessive reminder volume, or usage that may affect service performance, reliability, third-party service costs, or the experience of other users.

If your account requires a very high number of vehicles, large-fleet use, automated checking, or commercial-scale usage, we may ask you to move to a separate business or enterprise arrangement before continuing to use the service.

We may contact you before applying restrictions where reasonably possible, but we reserve the right to limit, suspend, or restrict access where usage appears excessive, abusive, automated, or harmful to the service.

Access to Premium features may be delayed or unavailable if payment fails, is disputed, is reversed, or cannot be verified.

7. No professional advice

FleetSignal does not provide legal, financial, insurance, vehicle safety, mechanical, MOT, taxation, or professional compliance advice.

Any information shown in FleetSignal is provided for general reminder and organisational purposes only. You should check official sources, your insurer, your MOT provider, DVLA, GOV.UK, or another appropriate authority where accuracy matters.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep FleetSignal available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable, delayed, limited, or interrupted due to maintenance, updates, hosting issues, third-party failures, security events, internet problems, or circumstances beyond our control.

We may update, modify, suspend, restrict, or withdraw parts of the service at any time where reasonably necessary.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse FleetSignal. You must not:

10. Account security

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that takes place under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, you should stop using it and contact us as soon as possible.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FleetSignal, its owner, operators and service providers will not be liable for any fines, penalties, enforcement action, vehicle seizure, missed MOT, missed tax renewal, missed insurance renewal, loss of use, loss of income, business interruption, indirect loss, consequential loss, data loss, or other losses arising from your use of, or reliance on, FleetSignal.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

12. Third-party services and links

FleetSignal may rely on or link to third-party services, websites, payment providers, email providers, hosting providers, public data sources, or official information sources. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, policies, actions, or failures of third-party services.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of FleetSignal after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, please contact FleetSignal support.
